Our Story

After returning home from serving in the US Army Air Force during WWII, Jack Weissberg opened the Saranac Lake Bakery and Left Bank Café, bringing the spirit of Paris to the heart of the Adirondacks. Many years later, his son Kenneth and wife Noella continued on that legacy with the Sister City Association between Saranac Lake and Entrains-sur-Nohain, and in 2010 with the recreation of the Left Bank Café, along with their son Christopher.

In the spring of 2022, partnering with the Weissbergs, Chef Jarrad Lang has stepped in to carry on the authentic hospitality and French inspired cuisine the Left Bank has become famous for here in the Capital of the Adirondacks, and beyond. Jarrad has been a Chef in the High Peaks Region for over 20 years and spent several seasons working and training in France with Paul Smith's College, where he first met the Weissberg family.

We are so excited to have the torch passed and to carry on the tradition of good food, wine, and friendship. We hope you all enjoy!
